This is my favorite time of year to visit the water lilly ponds at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The bright blue sky, the crisp light, and the aging green go so well with the bright orange koi. There will be more garden pictures in the days to come.

This looks like a dreamy painting. I like it very much. I went ot our Botanical Gardens today as well. We are to autumny yet so I was scrounging for a new header photo. Found it!
are those fish in an aquarium or in the east river? Wild colors
They were in the Japanese pond at the Botanic Garden. They are carp but they going around popping their mouths open so that they look like catfish. The yellow ones were very vivid.
